Sue Ann Satterlee

Sue Ann Satterlee, age 82, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. She was born December 26, 1938, in Lake Orion, Michigan the daughter of Omer and Doris (Mullholand) Carey. On September 15, 1956, she married Gerald Phillip Satterlee at the First Congregational Church in Charlotte. Sue was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She cherished her family and enjoyed spending time together. In 1975, Sue proudly earned her high school diploma. She was a huge U of M Football fan and enjoyed playing BINGO. Sue is survived by her children: Jerry Satterlee of Charlotte, Pam Newman of Texas, Dawn (Bill) Thurkettle of Dorr, James (Ellen) Satterlee of Charlotte, Jennifer Satterlee of Virginia; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings: Dean Carey of Charlotte, Duane (Caroline) Carey of Charlotte, Doreen (Harry) Stanton of Charlotte, and Adeline “Babe” Bridges of Durand. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald in 2007; and son, Frank Satterlee in 2015. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021, at 1 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Martin officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Benton Township Cemetery.
