Tedd B. Craven

Tedd B. Craven, age 63 of Charlotte, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at his residence. Tedd was born April 17, 1949 in Flat Rock, Michigan the son of David C. and Alice Maughn (Smiley) Craven and had been a Charlotte resident for 12 years. He was a Graduate of Finney High School in Detroit and had been employed by the U. S. Postal Service and also AAA. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam Campaign, receiving the Purple Heart Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Viet Nam Service Medal with one star. He was currently a member of the Charlotte American Legion Post and the Charlotte Moose Lodge. Surviving are: children, Tedd (Marianne) Craven and James (Nancy) Craven both of Clinton Township, Douglas (Sarah) Craven of Pellston, MI, Amanda Craven of Harbor Springs, David (Melissa) Craven of Potterville and Kaci Mitchell of Charlotte; step daughter, Melissa Mitchell of Charlotte; step son, Dale Mitchell of Chicago and 14 grandchildren, Takoda, Courtney, Brendan, Alex, Drake, Weengush, Noodin, Ryan, Austin, Elijah, Waasmowin, Wiigwaas, Brooke and Kailyn. A Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte which will include U. S. Marine Corps Military Honors and Bagpipe selections. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may go to the V. F. W. National Home for Children.
