Terry R. Thornton

Terry R. Thornton, age 57, of Bellevue, MI died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014. Terry was born March 1, 1956 in Charlotte, MI the son of James L. and Shirley (Paton) Thornton and was a lifelong area resident. He was a 1974 Graduate of Maple Valley High School and was a retired employee of General Motors Corp. Surviving are:his son, James R. (Kelly) Thornton; daughter, Kaitlin Sparks; step daughters, Afton Fullerton and Ashley Fullerton; grandchildren, Allison Thornton, Charles Thornton, Douglas Thornton and Camden Schofield and a sister, Candy Thornton Shears. He was preceded in death by: his father, James in 1982, his mother, Shirley in 1985, brother, Tom Thornton in 1987 and his wife, Nancy (Hill) Thornton in 2010. A Memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Charles Jenson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of the Memorial Service at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may go to the American Cancer Society.
