Trevor John Gilding

Trevor John Gilding, age 36, of Lansing, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He was born September 12, 1985, in Charlotte, the son of Jerrold and Marilyn (Hickey) Gilding. Trevor graduated from Charlotte High School in 2004. Trevor cherished his family, especially his son, Caiden. He loved coaching Caiden in both basketball and football throughout the years. He was very protective of his three sisters growing up and always wanted the best for them. Trevor was a huge U of M and Detroit Lions fan. He also enjoyed playing golf with his father. Trevor was a momma’s boy in the truest sense of the word and in now reunited with her in heaven. Trevor is survived by his son, Caiden; sisters: Tara (Steve) VanLuven of Okemos, Tasha McCrimmon of Charlotte, Tia (Joel) Johnson of Eaton Rapids; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents: John and Norma Hickey and John and Dorothy Gilding; and brother-in-law, Christopher McCrimmon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 12 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Dwight Ezop officiating. The family will receive friends two hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Hastings. The family asks that those attending the services to please wear your favorite football attire. Those desiring, may make contributions in Trevor’s honor to the family to assist with expenses.
