Ute Helga Chase

Ute Helga Chase, born on July 11, 1954, in Homburg, Germany, passed away peacefully at her home in Olivet, MI, on March 26, 2025. She was a cherished figure known for her strong will, determination, and hard work. Ute dedicated many years of her career as an office administrator at Olivet College, where she made lasting connections and contributed significantly to her workplace.

Ute's early years were shaped by her time spent working alongside her father in his glass blowing business in Germany. This experience ingrained in her values of craftsmanship and diligence that she carried throughout her life. She received her education in Germany, which laid the foundation for her future endeavors.

Beyond her professional life, Ute was passionate about her personal interests. She adored her yorkie dogs, who brought her much joy and companionship. Her love for working in her flower gardens added beauty to her surroundings and reflected her nurturing spirit.

Ute is survived by her husband, Chris Chase. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Heinz and Helga Schmidt. 

In keeping with Ute's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
