Viola Ruff

Viola Louise Ruff, age 90, of Prudenville, formerly of Lansing, passed away peacefully in the arms of her Savior on Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born September 20, 1931, in Flint the daughter of Arthur and Sarah (Teeter) Harshman. On November 25, 1951, she married the love of her life, Duane Jack Ruff in Lansing. Viola was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her family and cherished each and everyone of them. Her favorite time was her annual Christmas in July in her backyard. She loved having everyone together. In her spare-time she enjoyed playing BINGO and doing jigsaw puzzles. In her younger years she enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and even sang on the radio. Viola is survived by her children: Dennis (Robin) Ruff of Haslett, Janet (Gary) Mason of Dunkirk, Ohio, David (Judy) Ruff of Lansing, Thomas (Amy) Ruff of Prudenville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; daughter, Kathleen Ruff; and brother, Edward (JoAnn) Harshman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 12 P.M. at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Rohde officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Geneva Township Cemetery in North Bradley, Michigan.
