Viola Sue Halford

Sue Halford, age 89, of Vermontville, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at the Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital in Charlotte. Mrs. Halford was born Feb. 4, 1925 in Portland, MI the daughter of Roy J. and Josephine (Hissong) DeGroft. Surviving are: her children, David & Anne Halford of Adrian, Steve & Sharon Halford of Illinois, Mike Halford of New Jersey, Sam Halford of Indiana, Judy & Sherman Scott of Vermontville, Janice Halford of Hastings and Linda Crowden of Michigan Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Stella and daughter, Sandy Smith on Feb. 5, 2011. Sue dearly loved her family and friends. At her request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation of Funeral Services. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 at the home of Judy and Sherman Scott, 187 First Street in Vermontville, MI.
