Wallace A. Bruce

Wallace A. Bruce of Charlotte, Michigan, age 83 passed away on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Wally was born October 27, 1933 in Charlotte the son of Thomas and Minnie (Garland) Bruce and had lived most of his life in Charlotte. He was a 1952 Graduate of Charlotte High School, was a retired Plumber and Pipefitter having worked through Local #388/333 Plumbers Union and had served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.. He was a member of the First Congregational Church and the Charlotte Eagles Aerie #3552. He was a skilled woodworker and loved hunting, fishing and golfing. He is survived by: his wife of almost 60 years, Myra J. (West) Bruce; son, Randall W. (Kim) Bruce; daughters, Johanna Marie (Jeff) Stolowski and Diana K. (Geoffrey) Riddle; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ann Bruce; grandchildren, Angie Bruce, Alicia Bruce, Amanda (Bobby) Decker, Devon Kelly(William Ankerson) and Gaby Bruce; great grandchildren, Alyvia Bruce, J.C.Lea, Ava Decker, Brantley Decker and Clara Decker and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: son, Jeffrey Lynn Bruce; grandson, Grant Fisher Bruce; his parents and siblings, Ken Bruce, Betty Schmidt, Robert Bruce, Elaine Packard, Thomas Bruce, Jr., Shirley Swan, Dean Bruce and Garry Bruce. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Burkhead-Green-Kilgo Funeral Home in Charlotte with Rev. Philip Hobson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM with an Eagles Memorial service being held at 7:00 PM. Interment with Military Honors will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
