Wayne Allen Fenner

Wayne A. Fenner of Charlotte, MI, age 74, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at the Island City Assisted Living in Eaton Rapids after an extended illness. Wayne was born Jan. 26, 1942 in Portland, MI the son of Leon R. and Irene (Mills) Fenner and was a longtime resident of Charlotte. He was a proud Veteran having served in the U. S. Air Force from 1961 until 1965. He had been employed by A T & T from where he retired in 1995. Surviving are: his daughter, Stacey (Todd) Lahr of Charlotte; four grandchildren, Lindsi (Zach) Loughrige, Leah Laing, Logan (Megan) Laing and Lexie Lahr; five great grandchildren and two sisters, Wendy (Gary) Kimble of Middleville and Jill Allen of Woodstock, GA. He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Sharon (Gerald) Daly and Aunt, Lucille Fenner. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Shane Bryant of the Charlotte Assembly of God officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the U. S. Air Force Honors Team. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of Memorial service at the Funeral Home.
