Willard J. Bill Parshall

Willard J. “Bill” Parshall, age 76 of Charlotte, MI, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 after an extended illness. Bill was born Dec. 14, 1935 in Coldwater, MI, the son of Tim A. and Leora F. (Long) Parshall and had been a Charlotte resident for about 50 years. He had been employed as a Maintenance Engineer at Hayes-Green-Beach Hospital from where he retired with over 20 years of service. He had constructed a realistic scale model of the original Hayes-Green-Beach (Stone) Hospital which had been displayed at the Charlotte District Library and other locations. He previously had been employed in the Auto Mechanics business. He had served in the Mich. Army National Guard and was currently a member of the Ainger Bible Church where he taught in the Awana Class. Surviving are: 4 children, David (Debbie) Parshall of Goshen, IN, Daniel (Connie) Parshall of Charlotte, Teresa (Dick) Watson of Mesa, AZ and Molly (Dale) Winnie of Albion; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Virginia (Lorenzo) Stephenson of Coldwater; brother, Dale (Catherine) Parshall of Coldwater and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte, MI. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012 at the Ainger Bible Church, 5484 S. Ainger Rd., Olivet, MI with Pastor Scott Brood officiating.
