William D. Davis

William D. Davis Charlotte, Mich. Age 86 passed away August 18, 2011. Bill was born in Kalamo Township, MI, the son of Frank and Bernice (Perkins) Davis. He was a lifelong Charlotte resident and a 1942 Graduate of Charlotte High School. He retired from A.E./Hoover after 34 years of service. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the Charlotte Country Club for 58 years, was a collector of Jazz music for 60 years, enjoyed playing cards with his friends and followed the Detroit Tigers and Lions every season. Surviving are: his loving wife of 58 years, Maxine (Dillin) Davis; daughter, Cheryl Burns of Grand Ledge; sisters-in-law, Sally Davis of Eaton Rapids and Dorothy Davis of Charlotte and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack, Bob, and Virgil Davis and sister-in-law, Roseanne Davis. At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place. Private services will be held.
