William E. Murray

William E. Murray Narrow Lake, Springport, MI Age 68 died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011. Bill was born May 27, 1943 in Ypsilanti, MI the son of Edward and Christine (DeWar) Murray and had been an area resident for 41 years coming from the Lansing area. He had been employed as Director of Quality Control for the Mich. Dept. of Social Services from where he retired. He was a former member of the Olivet Lions Club and had served on the Olivet School Board from 1988-90. Surviving are: his wife, Jackie (Ballard) Murray; four sons, Philip (Connie) Murray of Eaton Rapids, Patrick Murray of Springport, Paul Murray of Kalamazoo and William P. Murray of Olivet; 6 grandchildren, Tarrah Murray, Nicholas Murray, Avery Murray, Mackenzie Murray, Andrew Heisler and Christopher Heisler and his brother, Richard (Ann) Murray of Schoolcraft. At Bill’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no Funeral Home visitation. Friends and family are invited to the Olivet Congregational Church Dining Room on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. to celebrate Bill’s life. A light meal will be served.
