Zelma (Yeager) Dehaan

Zelma (Yeager) DeHaan of Charlotte, Michigan, age 100 died Wednesday, Mar. 31, 2010 at the Eaton Community Hospice House. Mrs. DeHaan was born May 25, 1909 in Belgium and arrived in the United States in March of 1920. She was a Graduate of Charlotte High School, Class of 1931 and Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Class of 1935. She joined the Lawrence Avenue United Methodist Church in 1926 and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Naomi Circle. She was married to Henry DeHaan in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1970. Survivors include friends, cousins, nieces and nephews, including Cousin, Jacquelyn Pulford of Holt and Special Friend, Sharon Martin of Traverse City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the Burkhead-Green Funeral Home, Charlotte with Rev. Karen Wheat officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday for one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the Lawrence Ave. United Methodist Church or to Eaton Community Hospice.
